In July 2010 I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. I was not prepare for this diagnosis at all, the doctor I was seeing at the time preformed a neurological exam which showed I had very hypersensitive reflexes. He actually told me he wanted me to have an MRI but didn't expect to find anything. On the orders for the MRI he put multiple sclerosis on the paper saying "I don't think you have multiple sclerosis, but if I don't put something the insurance company won't always pay for it." I was told I didn't have MS, until a week later when I got the results back. Now, four years later I'm still navigating life with MS and how it's effected my life.
